BRIDGEWATER –Chief Christopher D. Delmonte is pleased to announce that the Bridgewater Police Department is accepting applications from qualified residents to fill two full-time Police Cadet positions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, be between the ages of 18 and 23 and must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. The position is 40 hours per week.
These are non-civil service at will appointments that expire when a Police Cadet reaches the age of 25. All candidates must be physically and psychologically fit, of high moral character and a person of sound judgement seeking a career in law enforcement willing to make a commitment to serving the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering telephones and communicating with the public
- Maintain and file records
- Receive complaints and complete reports
- Monitor and assist with detainees
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
All Candidates Must Pass the Following:
- Background investigation
- Oral interview board
- Physical fitness exam
- Psychological screening
- Drug screening
- Medical examination
Benefits:
Salary: $31,200 annually, health and paid holiday benefits, vacation leave after one year.
